Salad Mix Microgreen Nutrition

Our Salad Mix contains broccoli, kale, kohlrabi, arugula & red cabbage.

It is a great addition to ANY meal or salad.

Crunchy, earthy, flavorful, and super healthy!

Below is a list of nutritional info for the included greens.

  • Broccoli   is high in Sulforaphane. The sulforaphane is even higher and more potent in Broccoli microgreens than sprouts or mature broccoli. Sulforaphane has been shown to reduce the ability of cancerous cells to multiply. That means it may slow tumor growth or reduce its ability to spread to other parts of your body.

  • Kale microgreens   have concentrated levels of vitamins

  • A, B2, C, K, Calcium, and Manganese

         Above average concentrations of vitamins B1, B3, B5, B6, B9, iron, potassium, and magnesium.

Kale also contains many important phytonutrients, including polyphenols, glucosinolates, flavanol compounds, and carotenoid antioxidants.

  • Kohlrabi microgreens   are very nutritious and contain over 100% of the recommended daily value of Vitamin C. It’s also high in Vitamin B6, Folate (B9), Thiamin (B1), potassium, phosphorus, and calcium.

Sources also report that kohlrabi has the following additional nutritional and disease-fighting benefits:

  • Fights cancer

  • Improves heart health

  • Decreases the risk of obesity and diabetes

  • Lowers blood pressure

  • Reduces C-reactive protein

  • Arugula microgreens  also contain high levels sulforaphane, a compound found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and may help prevent certain types of cancer according to some studies.

They're high in vitamins

  • K1, B6, B8, C

As well as 

  • Folate, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Zinc, and Lutein

  • Red cabbage microgreens contained over 40 times the vitamin E content of their mature counterpart. They also contain very high concentrations of beta carotene (11.5 mg/100g), and vitamin K (2.8 μg/g)

Phytomenadione, also known as vitamin K1 or phylloquinone, is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines.

Cabbage microgreens can increase the efficacy of your immune system and reduce inflammation in your body due to their high level of antioxidants, carotenoids, vitamins K1 & C, and potassium.
